I've often enjoyed the fact that music and art can be a vehicle for a message. This song is about domestic abuse and a young child's escape and resilience, carried by a happy, beautiful, energetic dance track. The juxtaposition is purposeful, commenting on our human capacity to love someone who causes us harm, and trying to hide their dangerous faults to save some sort of misguided dignity for you both. Hopefully this song will help someone find their strength, dance through the pain, and seek help.
