Let Me Be Me was originally written as a happy instrumental beat for a commercial. It ended up not being used, so it sat in my "rejected folder" for a few years before I happened upon it again. This time around, I was going through some simultaneous career and relationship struggles, and needed to write something uplifting. For me. Something empowering, allowing me to vent frustrations, but hopeful and resilient. Just let me be me.
