We all have our traumas. Family, societal, workplace, school. But not everyone is a survivor of abuse. Thankfully, I’m not. But a few people, very near and dear to my heart, are. I can’t even pretend to imagine what they have gone through, the strength they’ve fostered, and the resilience they needed to survive. It’s hard to learn how to accept, trust, and even love again when you’ve experienced a terrible lack of humanity. But I’m here for you. I’ll always be here for you. And hopefully, if you’re reading this, you’ll be there for someone too.
