For Diane, a former patient of mine, with Multiple Systems Atrophy. She and her partner, Elaine, were both mainstays in my transition from full time PT with minimal music, to finding a balance between my two careers and passions. And just as important, one of the few LGBTQ+ families that I’ve been privileged to work with as a neurological physical therapist. With any diagnosis for a degenerative condition, you know the end of the story as soon as it starts. As terrible as that may be, this song is about taking that opportunity to live for the here and now. Cherish each moment, find happiness in each day, and hold on to the beauty all around us.
